Covering nearly 2 million hectares, the world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in the world. Because of its size the Kruger contains varied ecospheres leading to a diversity of flora and fauna unmatched anywhere else.

Established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, this national park is a world leader in advanced environmental management techniques and policies, and is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals.

From bushman rock paintings to incredible archaeological sites, man’s interaction over the centuries with the environment is evident throughout the park, bearing testament to the cultures, the people and the events that played a role in the history of the Kruger National Park and are conserved along with the park’s natural assets.

Mjejane Game Reserve is fully absorbed into the Kruger National Park, meaning that there are no fences and the animals move freely. This  serves to highten the safari experience above that of a normal private reserve and increases your chances of those elusive encounters with some of nature’s finest creations.

All tours are done under the guidance of our fully qualified nature conservationist, certified field guide and game ranger, Jacques. Alongside animal studies, Jacques has also studied botany and ecology. As a certified member of the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) Jacques has covered snake handling as well as passing the rigourous Viewing Potentially Dangerous Animals course and has notched up almost 1500 bushwalks in the Kruger Park. The perfect choice for guiding your private Sajema Safari.
